July 17th, 2025
The Lumineers made history last week with two sold-out nights at Fenway Park—their biggest shows in Boston to date. The Automatic Tour was nothing short of a milestone, drawing an audience of over 75,000+ people across those two nights at the city’s iconic ballpark.
Night one opened strong with Young the Giant delivering a commanding set that energized the crowd from start to finish. Fans were fully engaged - singing every word at the top of their lungs, standing on seats, and feeding off the band’s infectious energy. With crowd favorites like “Mind Over Matter,” “Cough Syrup,” and “Something to Believe In,” Young the Giant owned the stage and set the perfect tone for the night.
The adored Denver alternative folk-rockers The Lumineers—powered by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites—stepped onto the Fenway stage to a thunderous Boston welcome, greeted by a crowd bursting with love and light. Thousands of glowing wristbands shimmered like stars as The Lumineers opened their set with the new hit “Same Old Song” and the nostalgic fan favorite “Flowers in Your Hair.” ✿ The band showcased many new songs from their fifth studio album Automatic, released this Valentine’s Day, including standout tracks like “Asshole” and “You’re All I Got.” Alongside these fresh additions, they performed beloved classics such as “Ho Hey,” “Stubborn Love,” and “Sleep on the Floor,” creating a set that was both expansive and deeply personal. A standout highlight of the night was the ethereal duet of “Gale Song,” where Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant joined frontman Wesley Schultz for a magical moment on stage as their voices complimented each other in perfect harmony.
Catch the remaining dates of The Automatic World Tour as the band continues to hit cities nationwide now through October. With their dynamic stage presence and genuine connection to the crowd, The Lumineers continue to prove why they remain one of the most compelling live acts in music today.
