Bad Suns lit up the Royale in Boston with a decade’s worth of devoted fans packed into the room - not just showing up but showing out, fully immersing themselves in the “Accelerator Tour.” Over thirteen years, the Los Angeles trio has built a sound that bridges the past and present, balancing beloved favorites with the bright shimmer of new music.

The show opened with tracks from their freshly released album Accelerator, kicking off with “Slow Karma.” Christo Bowman’s vocals soared above glittering synths, while the audience belted out lyrics that had only recently been released, signaling the new songs’ instant connection. The set flowed effortlessly between eras: classics like “Cardiac Arrest,” “Salt,” and “Daft Pretty Boys” struck with renewed force, while new material sparkled with refined, pop-driven polish. On stage, the band’s chemistry was magnetic, with frontman Bowman commanding the room while Gavin Bennett’s basslines and Miles Morris’s drumming drove the heartbeat of every song.

The encore, beginning with “Rearview” and moving into “We Move Like the Ocean,” erupted into one massive chorus. This performance felt like a reunion - a moment to witness the band and their fans growing and evolving together through every chapter of their journey.
